By WMAY Newsroom (Kyle Hutchinson / MWFB) Illinois State Fair officials are planning for what they hope will be a normal fair in 2021. After this year’s event was canceled because of coronavirus, fair officials are announcing a slate of Grandstand concerts for next August… including country stars Toby Keith and Chris Young, rocker George Thorogood, and comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. Several Grandstand dates have not yet been announced. The fair is also offering Mega Passes, with a new Jumbo Pass option that also includes unlimited rides on the Giant Slide. Fair officials are bringing in a new carnival midway operator this year and are promising new and exciting rides at the fair.
